The Barn at the Woods

The Swedish ritual of spending quality time with friends and family, usually with a coffee and something sweet to eat to share the good things in life.

Both Danielle Throckmorton and Danielle Villemarette have a passion for gatherings created with purpose and intention. The gathering of family and close friends in celebration of a marriage is a beautiful time, that they believe should be planned intentionally. Often there are misconceptions that a smaller wedding lacks lots of details and moving parts. But it doesn't have to.

An intimate ceremony allows a couple to take the budget they would have spent creating a great wedding for lots and lots of guests, and instead create a magical experience for those they love the most, and most importantly -- themselves.

With the recent changes brought on by COVID-19, both Danielle's realized a need to serve Brides and Grooms that craved a Wedding Day experience with their loved ones, but didn't want to host a large number of guests. They believe that no matter the size, a wedding day can and should have touches of fine details that are there with intention to best tell the love story of the couple. The Intentional Ceremony: an Intimate Wedding Experience was born out of the desire to give couples seeking an elopement/small ceremony type wedding, a grand experience.

A little about each Danielle....

Danielle Throckmorton has a passion for all things wedding. Her love for organization and attention to detail has been a part of who she is for as far back as she can remember. After personally experiencing all wedding planning entails, she felt the pull on her heart to make planning a wedding an unforgettable experience for the couples to follow. Danielle's design strategy intends to encourage her couples to seek out what is truly important to them and to incorporate the personal details that make their wedding day unique. Danielle is married to her husband, Preston, and together they have three children. She loves coffee, spending time outdoors, reading all the books, and dreams of someday owning property in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

One of Danielle Villemarette's earliest memories is attending a family member's wedding. She was a flower girl, and perhaps this was the event that caused her captivation with the wedding experience to this day. As a young girl, her and her mom would tote a disposable film camera with them wherever they went. When the photos were developed and printed, they would select which ones they would scrapbook. Danielle's love for weddings started early, as did her love for photography. Danielle is married to Josh, and together they have two boys that bring them joy in its purest form. She loves coffee, shopping at Nordstrom, dreams of lush garden spaces, and hopes to one day having her own greenhouse.

Whether you decide to inquire on possibly planning your intentional ceremony with these ladies or not, their hope and prayer for you is a magical wedding day, surrounded by those you love most, celebrating over cake, song, and dance, and a marriage even more beautiful than your wedding day.
