The Marland Mansion in Ponca City, Oklahoma is a gorgeous venue option for those who long for old-world architecture, European vibes, and a little fun history in the mix.
E. W. Marland made his fortune in the oil industry, and built his mansion from 1925-1928. The mansion is refered to as a “Palace on a Prairie,” and was inspired by an actual Italian Palace, the Davanzati Palace in Florence, Italy. Marland lived there until the early 1930s, when he had to move out while serving in Congress. He later became Governor of Oklahoma!
Today it serves as a historical site anyone can tour, as well as a place for events like weddings to take place.
For my part, I enjoy the romantic setting and the classic architecture! There are endless options for photos, and the property is immense. We had so much fun to bringing it all to life with this styled shoot!
