THE JOURNAL

Bridal Session at The Montellano

The crown had been worn by another many years ago. It resembles a timeless beauty and family bonds. The pearls that lay upon her neck had also been worn by another in another time and place. This would be their second wedding to be on display for. Her veil, though delicate, had outlasted. It was her mother’s, but today it was hers.

The Bridal Session:

Rachel’s bridal session was exquisite. So much of her wedding attire held meaning. Her dress being her something new, she paired it with her mother’s veil. The crown she affixed to the veil was her grandmother’s (father’s mother.) The pearls she wore belonged to her other grandmother (mother’s mother.) Her engagement ring was her groom’s grandmother’s ring. (Not pictured is the angel wings pendant in love, respect, and memory of her late father that was on her wedding day bridal bouquet.)

Rachel is that bride, that so beautifully and graciously gave a nod to the past, and all the people she holds dear not just in pictures or signage, but by actually carrying them with her through the day.
