Weddings can be a chaotic event — beautiful chaos to be exact. But this wedding was anything but chaos. There was no frantic bride, no anxious groom, no rushing around. This day was filled with peace and calm.

I had the honor of photographing this wedding during a wedding workshop I did with Brandon Burton, Brandon Burton Photography . When we walked in to meet the bride, Amber, the first thought that struck me was how calm she was. I didn’t see anything hurried or anxious in her eyes. She was surrounded by her sister, daughter, and mother, who all carried with them that same calm spirit.

They helped each other get ready for the day; sister and daughter sweetly doing Amber’s makeup while also curling the mother of the bride’s hair. I could easily see the beautiful bond these four women all share. Before the wedding, Amber and Morgan shared some alone time during their first look, strolling into the gardens at Will Rogers. When it came time for Amber to officially walk down the aisle, she was accompanied by her daughter.

Despite the Oklahoma heat, it was a beautiful, peaceful day, filled with family members and close friends surrounding the couple as they started this new chapter in life as husband and wife.
